Microscope autofocus

Needs

To increase measure quality, Saint-Gobain Vetrotex wish to add autofocus capability to it's labolatory microscope.
The microscope is already equipped with a motorized tray, driven by a specialized software.

Solution
We extend software capability, using VBA, with autofocus function.
To have the shortest focus period all processing are done in C++.
Result

Completely integrated in usual software, end users work with the autofocus in a natural way.
Analysis are more accurate because measure are no longer disturb by focus error.

During the autofocus a graph display focus factor. The dichotomy search works with every kind of image.

For security reason tray movement is limited.
